Numerical simulations of flow and heat transfer by finite element method

چکیده

In this paper, numerical simulations of coupling phenomena including flow of thermal fluid and heat transfer in solid are performed. To simulate the coupling phenomena, the flow and the heat transfer in solid are computed simultaneously by the solving of the same governing equations in which the flow velocity in the solid region is set to zero. As examples of numerical simulation, the phenomena of cooling of a large-scale integration (LSI) package and the internal and external flows of a square tube with consideration of heat transfer are shown. By using the proposed approach, it is confirmed that coupling phenomena of flow of thermal fluid and heat transfer can be investigated easily.
